Kaibosh Food Rescue

Kaibosh’s mission is Zero Food Poverty, Zero Food Waste. By rescuing good quality surplus kai, they provide much needed nutrient rich food to people in need and they stop harmful methane emissions caused by food waste reaching landfills. 

They are the trusted link between the food industry and community groups supporting those in need in the community, and have lead the way as the first food rescue in Aotearoa since 2008.

Working seven days a week, Kaibosh rescues up to 65,000kg of food each month and ensures that it reaches those most in need in the community.

By working with 150 plus charity and community partners, 90 food donors and more than 240 volunteers, Kaibosh supports thousands of people a week, and diverts thousands of kgs from landfill.
