Meet Rosa, our new Summer intern!
Rosa moved up to Wellington last year, from Christchurch, to begin studying for her Bachelor of Communication degree at Massey University. She is now completing her final year, minoring in Expressive Arts and Media Studies, and majoring in Public Relations, which she currently has her mind set on for a career path.
Like many of us in Aotearoa, growing up around the ocean means Rosa has naturally been conscious of protecting our unique environment. As part of this, she enjoys gathering some mates together to take part in a good beach clean and has particular interests in ethical fashion and making jewellery from upcycled materials.
In 2018, Rosa encouraged her friends and family to donate to Sea Shepherd instead of sending her birthday presents while she was overseas. This was a very rewarding experience for her and opened her up to new possibilities of gift-giving. She says that’s why The Good Registry seemed like the perfect fit, so she can learn how to spread that joy further!
Rosa is eager to get stuck into her internship at The Good Registry to gain some real-world experience and combine her passions for storytelling and sustainability together. She is especially excited to share the experience with her family and friends and to help The Good Registry on its mission to keep challenging what it really means to treat someone.
