The Good Registry's impact so far

It's 5 years since we started The Good Registry!

Our ambition was to transform gift giving for Good - making it simple to donate to kiwi causes instead of gifting unnecessary or unwanted stuff.

Like all start-ups, we've gotten some things wrong, had some surprises and struggles, and would never say it's been 'easy'.

But it's been fun. we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us in our first five years, and so proud of all of our wins.

We've raised almost a million dollars for good - and will be WAY past $1 million by Christmas 2022.

We've directly supported more than 100 charities.

Around 200 businesses have gifted with us - for a huge range of things from staff birthdays to anniversaries, to business milestones, rewards and recognition, and of course staff and client Christmas gifts.

And thousands of individuals all across Aotearoa have gifted with us too.

We've given around 17,000 people the joy of philanthropic giving, and replaced well over 25,000 gifts with charity donations.

We estimate we've helped Aotearoa avoid around 400 tonnes of carbon emissions and saved mountains of waste from landfills too.

It's all been possible thank to our fantastic pro-bono support crew - in particular Deloitte who look after our finances, MageBinary who look after our tech, EightyOne who help with our brand and marketing, Freelancer PA who help with our admin support and Cogo who share their office space with us.

It's also thanks to everyone who has gifted through us - from kiwi kids and families, to global businesses like Warner Music Group and Coca-Cola Amatil, national Kiwi businesses like The Co-operative Bank and AMP New Zealand, and dozens upon dozens of smaller businesses too.

Here’s to our next five years - and our first $1 million for good being reached very soon!
