H2R Technology has been giving through The Good Registry for the longest time - they were the first recruiters to start giving Good Gift Cards to successful candidates and have inspired many others.
And after four years of giving with us they’re still gong strong - sharing the joy of giving with more successful candidates every month. They’ve recently expanded into Auckland so now they’re sharing the joy there too.
We recently caught up with the team and shot some quick-fire questions their way.
You’ve been giving with The Good Registry for such a long time! Why has it become such an integral part of your candidate experience? We were the first recruitment company in NZ to partner with The Good Registry and we’re proud to align our self with the amazing mahi you do! Making an impact to our community, whilst being a trusted advisor to our candidates and clients, is why we get out of bed in the morning.
What sort of feedback do you get from successful candidates? A flavour of the good vibes? We constantly receive feedback from our candidates and clients that always give us a genuine sense of pride and satisfaction, we’ve always taken the time to genuinely understand our candidates and support them into meaningful work that aligns with their career goals. Our candidates are always referring people to us which is the biggest endorsement we can ever receive.
Do you often hear which charities they’ve supported and why and what sorts of things do you hear / how does that make the team feel? We do. Some of the charities our amazing candidates have donated to include Breast Cancer Aotearoa, Heart Kids NZ, KidsCan, Mental Health Foundation, Plunket, SPCA, Wellington Children’s Hospital, Wellington Free Ambulance, Starship Foundation.
What inspires the H2R Technology team in terms of the positive contribution you choose to make in the world and how does giving Good Gift Cards fit in with that? Knowing that we play a small role in supporting these organisations is an amazing feeling for us as a business. Solving our clients’ hiring needs and helping our candidates into work while supporting amazing charities across Aotearoa is a real privilege.
You’ve just moved into the Auckland market… how is that going? The one and only Sharyn Saxby has moved Tāmaki Makaurau at the start of 2023 to launch H2R Technology’s offering. We couldn’t be more excited to take our brand and offering into Auckland and there is simply no better person to launch our business than Sharyn. Sharyn is respected by all that know her and we’re excited for the business and service offering she is creating!
What differences or similarities can you see between the Auckland market and the Wellington market in terms of what people care about / what drives people? Auckland and Wellington are hugely different cities. Wellington being small and compact, people are more inclined to work in the office, whereas Auckland has more of a hybrid working environment offering. Candidates and clients in Auckland are highly flexible with working arrangements to accommodate employees’ personal circumstances – especially over the last few months.
