We have a great team of good sorts helping us at The Good Registry, so we would like you to meet them!
This week we are introducing Jasmine (Jaz) Salter, the amazing Community Manager at the Market Lane BizDojo co-working space (where we are privileged to have a sponsored desk).
Jaz is the spirited face that welcomes BizDojo residents into the building each morning, and she has so much time for everyone who works here. She often introduces people who have skills to share, and has done that for us at The Good Registry many times.
Her main job at the BizDojo is to be the “little elf,” who runs the building behind the scenes and makes sure that all of the businesses, charities and not-for-profits in the co-working space are able to do their work.
Jaz describes herself as “people-focused,” and she loves doing the job at the BizDojo because she is able to meet so many people who are the change makers and influencers for good in New Zealand.
“I genuinely love knowing that I get to be around inspiring people every day — getting to see them in their highs and lows, and see them achieve something they have been working towards for a long time, such as signing a new partnership or even celebrating a year anniversary,” Jaz says.
Outside of working at the BizDojo, Jaz is also really into waste minimisation — and even wrote a thesis about it.
She volunteers in her spare time for the likes of Flux, a youth community group for 18 to 30 year olds based out of the Wellington Museum and also Kaibosh, which reduces food poverty and food waste, and also happen to be one of The Good Registry’s partner charities.
Jaz is a homegrown kiwi who has lived in Wellington and the Hawkes Bay, but dreams of doing what kiwis are unable to — fly out of the nest and see the world.
She dreams of exploring forgotten waterfalls in Hawaii, visiting the birthplace of The Sound of Music in Austria and building a capsule hotel co-working space with the best ramen in Tokyo.
As you can tell, Jaz is a great person to talk to and has a great personality!
We love being a part of the BizDojo community and are so grateful to BizDojo for providing us our sponsored workspace in Market Lane, Wellington, and to Jaz for supporting us to be able to do the work we do at the BizDojo. Thank you!
