Meet our Good Sorts!

We have a great team of good sorts helping us at The Good registry, so we would like you to meet them!

This week we are introducing Betsie Charles, who works as an account technician at Deloitte and does pro bono work to keep our accounts in Good shape.

Betsie says she enjoys working with The Good Registry because she loves to help people (and she certainly helps us a lot!). Also, she says The Good Registry is “a great cause and a unique way of putting back in to the community”.

Betsie says the best gift she ever received was when she was 10 or 11 years old, and her father gave her a doll called ‘Tracey’ for her birthday, which she loved. Sadly he passed away the next year, so she still has the doll to remember her father by.

“I still have my doll and my children play with her every now and then, but she is normally tucked safely away in my room,” she says.

Betsie’s favourite charity at The Good Registry is The Neonatal Trust - for a very personal reason. She's the mother of triplets, who were born premature. Her babies needed lots of extra care, and had to stay in the Neonatal Unit for two months before Betsie could take them home. This means she really appreciates the work that The Neonatal Trust does for families.

“Neonatal holds a special place in my heart!”

A big thank you to Betsie - and the wonderful team at Deloitte - for providing us with all of the book keeping and accounting support we need to continue doing Good for New Zealanders.

For more information about the good that The Neonatal Trust does for New Zealand families, check out their website or this gallery on their Facebook page.

And if you would like to support The Neonatal Trust or any of our other 60 partner charities, have a look at our Good Gift Cards (a great gift for anyone!) and Good Gift Registries (a great way to pledge your birthday, wedding or other event to a favourite cause).
