We may be locked down, but the team at AMP Wealth Management are amping UP the connection, celebration and kindness within thier teams.
AMP has a long-held tradition of recognising staff at monthly team meetings for the wonderful ways they help clients and live their values of aspiration, sustainability and wellbeing.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, they switched to virtual team meetings from last month, using Workplace by Facebook.
And at the same time, CE Blair Vernon introduced Good Gift Cards from the Good Registry as prizes — so that their winners can give back even more to the community, and support causes that are close to their hearts.
He said it was a way they could all stay connected through the lockdown, recognise the help their people are giving to clients, and support their communities, so that we can all weather this storm together.
And at this week’s meeting they had a record crop of good sorts — with 23 team members recognised for their achievements over the past few weeks.
As a financial service, AMP is classified as an essential service and while their teams have moved to working from home, they remain open through the lockdown to give clients any help and support they need.
Many of the achievements this month reflected the huge amount of effort that’s gone into ensuring everyone across the business can fully support clients while working from home — everything from fast-tracking technology, to recruiting and training new recruits and pitching in to respond to the increased number of calls into the contact centre.
Blair said it felt good to be able connect with each other, celebrate the team’s hard work, and show kindness all at the same time.
“We recognise the vital role that business needs to play to support our communities — that’s a core part of who we are and what we do. We think right now that’s even more important, given many charities will be struggling to do their normal fundraising and may be finding it challenging to keep doing the critical work they do day in and day out.
“It’s really important for us to celebrate and recognise our team, but this is also a good opportunity for us to give back to those community organisations who work so hard to improve outcomes for everyone across New Zealand.”
Would you like to amp up the kindness during lockdown too?
Anyone from small kids to big businesses can connect, celebrate and show kindness with donations to good causes, using The Good Registry's charitable gift cards or charitable registries:
- Create your own Good Registry for a special event and ask friends to donate to a charity you choose, instead of buying gifts.
- Give Good Gift Cards instead of traditional gifts (like AMP Wealth Management does) to connect, celebrate, and enable others to make donations to charities they care about.
We have 65 partner charities that our Good Sorts can choose to support!
You can hear from people and businesses who have used Good Registries and Good Gift Cards to give more simply and sustainably, and to help causes they care about, on our inspirational Giving Wall.
