Giver Spotlight: KezClean

KezClean is a small Manawatu cleaning company with a big heart. They help residential and commercial clients with their cleaning and gardening needs, and for a while now, they’ve been gifting Good Gift Cards to their clients for Christmas. We caught up with owner Kezza to chat about how she incorporates kindness into her end of year client gifting.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your business KezClean?

KezClean is a small team of 10 in the Manawatu helping residential and commercial clients with their cleaning and gardening needs.

We love our work, knowing we've made our clients day and helped make their lives a bit easier is the best feeling! We also really enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the difference we can make and getting to know our clients, often forming wonderful friendships with them too. Getting to know all of their pets is another bonus, they give us the best welcomes!

We have been in business for 7.5 years now and I couldn't picture doing anything else. For me, helping others is the most rewarding thing and I love helping our staff to have a happy work environment and seeing the joy they bring to our clients’ lives is priceless.

You’ve been giving with The Good Registry for a while now! Could you tell us how you use Good Gift Cards in your business?

Every Christmas we give a Good Gift Card to each client with their Christmas cards (& a little pack of lollies for each of their children too).

It's so nice that we get the joy of giving and the clients do too, the best gift in my view!

Have you received any feedback from your clients using their Good Gift Cards?

Yes - it's such a joy when I get a text thanking us, especially when they let me know which charity they chose and why that charity is close to their hearts. So many people have said what a great idea it is and I hope that some of them may think of The Good Registry when giving gifts themselves.

Before giving through The Good Registry, did you have any challenges with client gifting?

Before discovering the Good Registry, we used to gift to another charity for our Christmas gifts, but I think the ability to let our clients choose their own charity to receive the donation is so much more meaningful.

Why is recognising clients important to you? What feeling do you hope they’ll experience when they receive their gifts?

We like to thank our clients for supporting our small business, without them we wouldn't have employment - helping them helps us. Being able to also help charities with our Christmas gratitude gifting is the cherry on top.

How does giving with The Good Registry align with your values at KezClean?

For me personally, I'm generally more of a doing/helping kind of gift giver, rather than a physical object, so the gift of giving fits perfectly with my own heart and our company.

When you are able to help someone, that "warm fuzzies" feeling is wonderful and I hope that each client who uses one of your vouchers gets that feeling, the same as we do when gifting them - warm fuzzies all round!

What are you looking forward to in 2026?

In 2026 we look forward to making people smile 🙂
