Celebrating a new member of the team

Meet Lucy, our newest intern at The Good Registry!

In 2020 Lucy followed her passion for writing and moved to Wellington from Dunedin to study a Bachelor of Communications at Massey University. Two years later, Lucy is now completing her final year of study, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Media Studies.

Lucy says she is grateful for the opportunity to intern at The Good Registry where she can put the skills she has learnt from university into practice, and gain work experience in a field she wishes to pursue.

Growing up in the South Island with her family of five (and their Pug Bruno), Lucy spent much of her childhood at her family’s holiday home in Wanaka. In Wanaka, Lucy and her family would often go skiing/snowboarding, biking or walking, and Lucy says that this is where her love for the outdoors and passion for the environment began.

Since moving to Wellington, Lucy tries to enjoy the outdoors as much as she can by going on walks with her flatmates, and has recently taken up surfing (or trying to surf) at Lyall Bay.

Lucy supports all work that aims to protect the environment and loves how The Good Registry does this by reducing waste through the concept of giving simply and supporting good causes.

Lucy acknowledges that we are living in uncertain times and says she is excited to work closely with partnered charities to help The Good Registry spread kindness and make meaningful impacts.

With many birthdays and celebrations coming up in her own calendar, Lucy is especially excited to share her experiences at The Good Registry with friends and family and help encourage people to give simply, help causes, and reduce waste!
