By Christine Langdon (co-founder and Chief of Good) - Our team has been reflecting this week on what a good year 2022 has been. 😀😍
We know it's been tough going for many at times, but we've seen huge amounts of kindness, and we've celebrated some very special moments:
🙌 We reached the milestone of more than $1 million raised ... and we're now racing past that.
🙌 We also raced past the milestone of more than 400 tonnes of carbon diverted from gifts that never had to be made, shipped, packaged and wrapped, and that will now never end up in landfill.
🙌 We've been named semi-finalists in the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards - Community of the Year category, with some absolutely amazing company.
🙌 We were front-page news in The Dominion Post and on Stuff - big thanks to Editor Anna Fifield and the team for choosing us for their 2022 Christmas Appeal, giving so much wonderful profile to our kaupapa and our charity partners. (Thanks to photographer Kevin Stent for the photo we've used here too!)
🙌 Our brand was on billboards across Aotearoa thanks to the support of the design and media team at EightyOne and EightyOneM, and the super generous Go Media NZ team.
🙌 Hundreds of business and thousands upon thousands of individuals have now gifted with us - from every demographic and every corner of the motu.
🙌 We've just kicked off a very exciting partnership with the brand new social lender Money Sweetspot (they launched this month) and they've already signed up their first borrowers who will each receive Good Registry Gift Cards, enabling them to donate to charities they choose. We are so proud to be part of their beautiful kaupapa, helping people out of the harsh debt cycle and into the positive :)
🙌 Our team at The Good Registry has been helped, supported, and encouraged by so many amazing humans and organisations. Our hearts are so full. And we are so excited as we look forward to 2023.
Ngā mihi maioha ki a koutou,
Christine, Tracey and Sue
