Delivering care and kai to Kiwi families

Bellyful's vision is to ensure all whānau with babies and young children feel supported by their communities.

So, right across the country, they organise volunteers to cook and deliver family-sized meals to whānau with young babies and children who need support.

Last year more than 500 volunteers, in 25 Bellyful branches across New Zealand, cooked and delivered more than 30,000 meals.

Since 2009, Bellyful has delivered more than 200,000 meals. And about 1450 of those meals have been possible thanks to our givers at The Good Registry, who have donated $21,000 to Bellyful so far (as at August 2023).

Bellyful Chief Executive Fiona Purchas says The Good Registry's givers are integral to helping Bellyful's volunteers across New Zealand to create significant social impact.

"We regularly hear from midwives, plunket nurses and social workers how valuable it is to have an organisation to refer families to for ready-to-eat meals.

"Bellyful fills a gap in social support for families who need immediate support with few questions asked.  It is only with the support from partners such as The Good Registry that we can organise volunteers on such a large scale to do this mahi, help buy ingredients for meal production, and afford the petrol to deliver them," Fiona says.

"As one of our recipients said in a recent customer survey - the caring Bellyful volunteer turning up on my doorstep with ready-to-eat food, was literally a lifesaver, and the Good Registry help us, make this happen."

Thank you to everyone in our community who has supported the work of Bellyful with your koha - it means the world to families who need some extra care :)

Our givers can donate to Bellyful (or any of our 65 other charity partners) with our Good Gift Cards, or by creating a registry for a special event like a birthday.
