Heart Kids

Each week in Aotearoa New Zealand 12 Kiwi babies are born with a congenital heart condition, and other previously healthy children will be diagnosed with one following an illness such as Rheumatic Fever or Kawasaki Disease.

Childhood heart conditions reach every community, and so does Heart Kids New Zealand.

Heart Kids NZ walks alongside families who are impacted by a childhood heart condition - every step of the way - providing lifelong support to all those facing the challenges that come with having a heart child.

It offers practical and emotional support both at home and in hospital; equipment, resources and opportunities to connect with other heart families.

Heart Kids NZ organises camps, family days, coffee groups, CPR training, education events and more. 

The difference your gift could make:

$25 provides the gift of a Maia Bear to a child after their first open-heart surgery

$50 provides food vouchers for a heart parent as they care for their child in hospital

$100 provides specialised counselling for heart families needing extra support

$250 provides food and travel support for out-of-town families while their heart kid is at Starship

$500 helps send a heart kid to camp no matter where they live in Aotearoa New Zealand
