Garden to Table Trust

Garden to Table is New Zealand's leading food education programme, empowering kids in schools and kura across Aotearoa to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh kai. It supported more than 13,000 students in 2020 to take learning out of the classroom and into the garden and the kitchen, through weekly sessions linked to their school curriculum.

Tamariki cooked half a million vegetable-based meals last year! The knowledge and skills that Kiwi kids learn through Garden to Table has a transformative and lifelong impact on their hauora — wellbeing — and on the world around them.

Staff creating Garden to Table resources, and training the educators who deliver the programme in schools, include a range of specialists from teachers to scientists.
