Million Metres Streams is a project of the Sustainable Business Network working to restore the health of Aotearoa New Zealand's waterways.
Working with iwi/hapū, community groups and landowners, our goal is to scale up the planting of native plants and trees along the edges of our rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands.
Planting creates a buffer between the waterway and the land - filtering contaminants, reducing erosion, and creating habitat for native fish and birds. As they grow, native trees also sequester carbon.
Your donation will help protect and restore New Zealand's precious waterways for generations to come.
Every $12 donated to Million Metres is enough to plant and look after another native tree.
